About
Shree Ji Gausadan
Shree Ji Gausadan is a fully operational gaushala (cow shelter) established in Noida, dedicated to the welfare of stray and abandoned cattle. It is one of the largest such facilities in the Noida region, currently housing over 1,700 stray cattle. Beyond being a shelter, Shree Ji Gausadan is envisioned as a model of self-reliant, environmentally sustainable, and community-connected rural enterprise rooted in Indian traditions.
How It Works The gaushala provides safe shelter, nutrition, veterinary care, and rehabilitation for stray cattle rescued from the streets of Noida. In addition to animal welfare, it actively promotes eco-friendly practices including organic manure production, bio-gas plant operations, and sustainable agricultural methods. These initiatives create a closed-loop system where cattle welfare and environmental conservation go hand in hand. The facility also engages surrounding communities to adopt eco-friendly, self-reliant practices inspired by traditional Indian values. Long-term plans include developing it into a modern, research-based gaushala that can serve as a replicable model for the entire country.
Gopal Sir's Connection Shri Gopal Krishna Agarwal is the Founder of Shree Ji Gausadan. He personally secured a land lease from the Noida Authority to establish the facility and has overseen its growth from a small shelter to a gaushala housing over 1,700 cattle. His commitment to the cause stems from both cultural conviction and a vision of integrating animal welfare with sustainable environmental and agricultural practices.
